Adam Mitchel Lambert was born on January 29, 1982, to Leila and Eber Lambert in Indianapolis, Indiana. His parents worked regular jobs, and he grew up with his younger brother, Neil, in their San Diego home.

When Adam was just nine years old, he started participating in various plays with the Metropolitan Educational Theatre Network and appeared in several professional productions. Some of his first plays included “Grease”, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown”, “Hello, Dolly”, and “Peter Pan”. During this time, Lambert attended Mount Carmel High School, sang in his school’s jazz band and choir, and acted in school plays.

Soon after his high school graduation, Adam went to study at the California State University in Orange County. However, he dropped out of it after a mere five weeks.

He soon moved to Los Angeles to work on his entertainment career and got his first gig as a 10-month-contracted stunt performer on a cruise ship. He was only 19 and got enough exposure to be cast in a European production of “Hair”.
